Player and Parent Agreement
Introduction
Welcome to UMJCA Youth Athletic Programs. We are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for all our players, parents, and coaches. This agreement outlines the expectations and responsibilities for both players and parents to ensure a successful and enjoyable season.

Code of Conduct
1.1 Players:

Respect: Treat coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials with respect at all times.

Effort: Give your best effort in practices and games.

Sportsmanship: Display good sportsmanship, including accepting both victories an defeats graciously.

Attendance: Attend all practices and games, and notify the coach in advance if you cannot attend.

Equipment: Take care of personal and team equipment, and return all borrowed items in good condition.
1.2 Parents:

Support: Encourage and support your child’s participation in the sport.

Respect: Show respect to coaches, officials, players, and other parents. Avoid coaching
from the sidelines or making negative comments. -
Communication: Communicate any concerns or issues directly with the coach or
appropriate staff member, not during practices or games. -
Attendance: Attend games and practices if possible, and support the team’s efforts.
​2. Safety and Health
2.1 Players:

Health: Inform the coach of any health issues or injuries. Follow medical advice for injuries and illnesses.

Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and rules set by the coach and organization.

Hydration and Nutrition: Maintain proper hydration and nutrition to support athletic performance.
2.2 Parents:

Emergency Contact: Provide up-to-date emergency contact information and medical history.

Medical Clearance: Ensure that your child has received any necessary medical clearance before participating in sports activities
​3. Financial Responsibilities
3.1 Players and Parents:

Fees: Pay all required registration fees, uniform costs, and any additional expenses by the specified deadlines.

Refunds: Understand that fees are non-refundable once the season has begun, except in cases of medical reasons with appropriate documentation.
4. Behavior and Disciplinary Actions
4.1 Players and Parents:

Behavior: Abide by the behavior expectations outlined in the Code of Conduct. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior can result in disciplinary actions, including suspension or removal from the team.

Discipline: Follow the grievance and appeal process if you disagree with any disciplinary action taken by the organization.
​5. Agreement Acknowledgment
By signing this agreement, both the player and parent acknowledge and agree to adhere to the policies, rules, and expectations set forth by UMJCA Youth Sports Program. This agreement is in place to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved
